INFORMATION ON BOWLAND WOOL

The Bowland Wool Range

In 2008 I had the idea of producing a range of knitting wool and knitted garments from wool sourced locally in Bowland.

The range comprises wool from the farm of Geoff and Margaret Walker of Brennand Farm, Dunsop Bridge which is undyed and wool from the farm of Edward,  Jean, John and Roweena Parkinson at Harden Farm in the Trough of Bowland which is dyed into a range of colours.

The colours have been chosen to reflect those found in the Bowland Forest landscape. The names of the colours are also chosen from the landscape.
